"I'll save the time of the Test What Is That?
Revelation 3:7-13
The message to Philadelphia
7 to the angel of the church in Philadelphia, It is the holy and true, who holds the key of David, who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens: 8 I know your works: behold, I have set before thee an open door which no man can shut it you have little strength, have kept my word, and hast not denied my name. 9 Behold, I give of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews and are not, but lie, behold, I will come and worship before thy feet, and acknowledge that I have loved you . 10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also keep you from the hour of trial [peirasmos] to come upon the whole world to test those who dwell on earth. 11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. 12 He who overcomes, I make a pillar in the temple of my God, never shall go out and write on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from my God and my new name. 13 who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
With much assurance and confidence of believers in a secret rapture say proof that the Church will not go through tribulation is based on the promise that he makes the Church of Philadelphia at the beginning of the book of Revelation. Interestingly (and sad) is the practice of many modern Christians including pre-tribucionalistas, repeat what they hear and what they say one and the other without taking the time to investigate for themselves whether such things are and you he said. As in many cases, a look at 'proof text of the "pre-tribucionalistas" does not confirm anything so confidently preach such interpreters, unlike the contests!. Here I present a brief analysis of the sentence I will keep you in the hour of trial and as we shall see God is not promising the Church of Philadelphia as the pre-tribucionalistas say.
The Pre-tribucionalistas make its emphasis to a secret rapture "before" of the Second Coming of Christ based on the meaning of the word 'ek' in Greek is "get out." Although this is not the only preposition had significantly for that to begin with the same definition clearly implies that what is "taken out" must come first "inside." The word would be better defined "out from" as used in Revelation 7:14 to referee the large crowd that came out of [ek] the Apocalypse. Revelation
7:14
I said, Lord, you know. And he said, "These are they which came out of [ek] the great tribulation and have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb
The word 'ek' is use not in other verses in the same chapter 3 of Revelation clearly shows its meaning (see Revelation 3:5, 9, 10, 12, 16, 18) at all times what is 'ek' (left) has the obligation to be first inside.
Revelation 3
5 He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and do not blot out his name of [ek] the book of life, (1) confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
9 Behold, I give of [ek] the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews and are not, but lie, behold, I will come and worship before thy feet and acknowledge that I have loved you.
10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I will keep you from [ek] the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world to test those who dwell on earth .
12 He who overcomes, I make a pillar in the temple of my God, never shall go out and write on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which descends from [ek] heaven from my God and my new name.
16 But because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of [ek] my mouth.
18 Therefore I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in [ek] fire, that thou mayest be rich and white clothes to wear, and not discover the Verger: uenza of your nakedness, and anoint thine eyes with eye drops, you see. Fortunately
the same Word of God gives light on this verse. Although this text is used to "prove a pre-tribulation rapture, the original words used there do not. These words are the same used in John 17:15 to refer to those who are saved in the world does not 'taken out of the world as Jesus prayed. Consider the literal translation from Greek to English of John 17:15:
erotao John 17:15 (I beg) ou (no) hina (that) airo (aces) cars (they) ek (de) kosmos (world ) there (but) China (as) Tere (save) cars (elllos) ek (To) make (evil)
see how it is that in Revelation 3:10 is promised to the church in Philadelphia the same thing that Christ prayed in John 17:15, not be removed from the world, but saved in the world. Consider the original Greek for Revelation 3:10:
Kago Revelation 3:10 (me) tere (keep) is (to you) ek (from) h (the time) peirasmos (temptation).
What we have is that Revelation 3:10 does not prove in any way a secret rapture to rid the church of the time of testing but did confirm that God cares for his people in time of temptation. The statement that means getting out is [airo ek] literally "take off but that is not the phrase used in Revelation 3:10. Alli says [tereo ek], which means "We then watch for the phrase [AirOS ek] means" get out of B> while the phrase [tereo ek] means "to watch for. In Revelation 3:10 is not used 'AirOS ek B> but used' tereo ek. So this tells us very clearly that what God has in mind is what the pre-tribucionalistas have in mind. The second part in John 17:15 says, "but care (keep) the evil which is the Greek [ek cars tereo hina] which means that they are cared for by God without being removed the world just as Christ said.
When we look at the meaning of the words 'airy,' tereo find the following definitions in Strong's lexicon:
Airos:
1) lift, elevate, up
a) raise the ground, collect: rocks
b) lift up, raise, raise, the hand
c) get: a fish
2) the take upon miso and carry what has been raised, carry
3) take what is up, load
a) move your site
b) remove or move what is attached to something
c) remove
Tereus:
1) Attend carefully, taking care of
a) save
b) metaphorically keep one in the state it is
c) observe (watch, guard)
d) reservation: suffer something (preserve)
is clear that the promise of Revelation 3:10 does not say in any way that the Church will be raptured before the tribulation but says it will be 'saved from the hour of trial. Jesus repeated the same words in his prayer in John 17:11 when he said "And now I am in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, who hast given me, keep them [tereo] in your name, that may be one just like us.
God promises to "save his own. As we saw in John's Gospel reading, Christ asked the Father not that we were taken out of [ek AirOS] world but we were saved from [tereo ek] world.
2 Peter 2:9-10
know the Lord deliver us from temptation [peirasmos] the pious, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the Day of Judgement; 10 especially to those who, according to the flesh, walk in the lust of uncleanness, and despise.
1 Corinthians 10
13 There hath no temptation [peirasmos] that is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear, but will with the temptation also [peirasmos] out so that you can stand .
James 1
2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations [peirasmos] 3 know that the testing of your faith perseverance. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and complete, not lacking anything. 12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when has stood the test will receive the crown of life that God has promised those who love Him.
That's what God does, "Pound enticing [peirasmos] the pious "But as it does, abducted? No! does' care in the world. Care in the temptation to have "out" as he told the Church of Philadelphia, which also gives an output when the test: "Behold, I have set before thee an open door, which no one can shut "(verse 8), but not flying to heaven, but" supporting "the test (1 Corinthians 10:13, James 1:2,12). Santiago says it very clear, the crown of life is " when he has stood the test ." Having stood the test!
Looking at the context of the passage of the letter to the Philadelphia church we realize that it is. God tells the church of Philadelphia that the "save the time of the test [peirasmos] (VESO 10) but also says he must" hold fast what you have (verse 11). What is the church of Philadelphia is:
Revelation 3:8
For though you have little strength, have kept my word (my patience), and have not denied my name.
And he keeps saying he who overcomes, I make a pillar in the temple of my God (verse 12). This means that the expiration of patience and take the word of Christ in "the hour of trial [peirasmos] be made a pillar in the temple of God. When John wrote the letter of Revelation referred to himself as one who takes part in "the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ." The same happens with the Church of Philadelphia which is "partner" in:
Revelation 1
9 I John, your brother and your partner in tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus, was on the island called Patmos for the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Throughout the book of Revelation Believers are identified in the same way (Revelation 2:2-3,19, 13:10; 14:12):
Revelation 14
9 And the third angel followed, saying, a loud voice: "If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 will drink the wine of the wrath of God that is poured into the cup of his anger, and shall be tormented with fire and brimstone before the holy angels and of the Lamb 11 and the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever. And they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name. 12 Here is the patience of the saints who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
How could the church be overcome by showing evidence of faith and patience "by keeping the Word of God without denying His name" (Rev. 3:8) if he has been kidnapped and "out of the world" when the test? No way! The text shows two Bible truths are in all the Bible, the Sovereign Grace of God by keeping their children for His mercy and man's responsibility in fidelity to God in the midst of trial (peirasmos). God rewards the faithful that He has provided leading in the future blessings as saying to the Church of Philadelphia.
The Church will remain on the land being 'stored' [tereo] (John 17:5, Rev. 3:10) until the day of the Lord (2 Thes. 2:1) in His Second Coming (Hebrews 9:28), the same day and not before is when we will be "caught up" to meet the Lord in the air (1 Thess. 4:17) to be delivered from the fire of the wrath of God (2 Thes. 1:5 - 11) which is poured upon the earth.
